Inc. Unveils Its 37th Annual List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

CHICAGO (August 16, 2018) -- RedShelf, a leading provider of digital learning materials, has been honored for the first time on the annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. RedShelf ranks among the honorees as the second fastest-growing education company and the fifth fastest-growing company in Illinois.

The Inc. 5000 list represents a unique look at the most successful independent businesses with past honorees including Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp and Zillow.

“Being included in this prestigious list of companies alongside some of the top independent businesses is incredible and a true testament to the growth we’ve seen since our founding in 2011,” said Greg Fenton, CEO of RedShelf. “Our obsessive commitment and passion for improving the education space has helped us successfully scale the business year-over-year, and we’re not slowing down anytime soon.”

Not only have the companies on the 2018 Inc. 5000 been competitive within their markets, but the list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists. The 2018 Inc. 5000 achieved an astounding three-year average growth of 538.2 percent and a median rate of 171.8 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $206.1 billion in 2017, accounting for 664,095 jobs over the past three years.

“If your company is on the Inc. 5000, it’s unparalleled recognition of your years of hard work and sacrifice,” said James Ledbetter, editor in chief of Inc. “The lines of business may come and go, or come and stay. What doesn’t change is the way entrepreneurs create and accelerate the forces that shape our lives.”
